Remove Kazaa Spyware for Free

The Kazaa program is a peer-to-peer file-sharing network that allows you to download files from other users. The Kazaa software comes with several spyware programs that monitor your surfing habits and install unnecessary toolbars on your computer's Web browser. If you no longer want the spyware associated with Kazaa on your computer's hard drive, you will need to uninstall Kazaa and run a spyware removal tool.

Go to Spybot Search and Destroy, a website that offers a spyware removal utility. Download the utility, then follow the installation instructions on the screen.

Open the "Start" menu, then click on the "Control Panel" link. Double click on the icon labeled "Programs and Features." Click on the "Name" button to arrange the programs installed on your computer in alphabetical order.

Click on the "Kazaa" entry, then click on the "Uninstall" button at the top of the window. Wait for Kazaa to be uninstalled from your computer, then close the window.

Searching for Updates.

Open the spyware removal utility you installed earlier. Click on the "Search For Updates" button at the left side of the window. Choose any of the download mirrors from the list of mirror locations, then click "Start."

Wait for the updates to finish installing, then click on the "Check For Problems" button at the upper-left corner of the window. Click on the "Remove Problems" button once the spyware removal utility has finished scanning your computer.

Click on "Restart Now" when the spyware removal tool brings up a new window asking you to restart your computer. Click on "Check For Problems" when the spyware removal utility starts again once the computer has finished restarting.
